Vienna Reading Center accreditation

Vienna Reading Center (VRC) accredits Topcon imaging products (instrument & software).

VRC 
The initial intention of the VRC in 2005 was to perform systematic scientific analyses of ophthalmic images provided by the clinical sites within international multicenter studies.
Since its start-off with the evaluation of the OCT examinations in Novartis’ EXCITE trial, the VRC has rapidly advanced to a global player in ophthalmic imaging analysis.

As the first fully digitalized reading center, the VRC has expanded its spectrum from OCT to the evaluation of SD-OCT, Color fundus photography, ocular angiography and microperimetry examinations. With over 400 certified study sites around the world, of which the majority in Europe, the VRC is one of the most important partners for the pharmaceutical industry.

VRC accreditation 
The accreditation Topcon Europe Medical B.V. received, is applicable for:

• Topcon 3D OCT-2000 FA plus
• Topcon Fastmap 8.0
• Topcon 3D OCT-2000 (Sept. 2011)
• Topcon 3D OCT-1000 Mark II (Sept. 2011)
• Topcon 3D OCT-1000 (Sept. 2011)

Conclusion
Results of institutions using these Topcon products, will be acknowledged by the VRC, www.readingcenter.at
